Poor MySpace - or poor NewsCorp really.

From billion-dollar acquisition to dying entity with executives jumping ship - it appears that MySpace needs some life breathed into it. But how?

After all, we can't blame Facebook's growth - or can we? Is there not room in our hearts for two major players in the field. History says no - if you look at Coke / Pepsi and McDonald's / Burger King. There can only be one big leader it appears.

So is making MySpace a major media portal - for movies, video and music - the real answer? Will it really work - or has America been poisoned against MySpace? What's really interesting here is more that the media appears to be driving the direction of MySpace. Ultimately, the bread-and-butter of it's owner - NewsCorp - is essentially the wrecking ball that's headed right for MySpace. Ironic.
